Starring Tim Duckworth as

Just kidding Ducky ... would probably be interesting to find out what you learned from playing in the Main Event, and what you might do differently today as a better player.

I went into the Main Event wanting to win - just like anyone that plays tournaments - and shoving the button with my QQ to pick up chips was just one way of trying to accumulate a stack to take down the multi-millions first prize.

However I have learnt and understanding of how to play the bubble better since then, and found that bubbling actually taught me so many lessons which i applied a few weeks later when i pocketed close to 18k in two tourney scores.

Put me in that spot again and I wouldn't be shipping it in as that money bubble is quite huge.

The one thing I can tell you is I ain't scared of a bubble anymore as a few hundred bucks doesn't come close to the 23k i missed out on!

Might want to give up on those 25x BB raises from UTG as well

Good read though Tim, although there was not enough mention of Baccarat / craps or strippers for my liking.

From the sounds of things it was a memorable experience, even though you came so close. Enjoyable reading .
One thing you seemed to have left out tho... how did you get there in the first place? satellite in? direct buy in? lottery/keno mini cash ??

And also, are you endeavouring to get back for another shot at the title(s)??

Dan, if you read the My Journey Down The Poker Road you will see that i won a freeroll to give me entry into a satellite and then won that satellite.

Haven't played the Main since then, had a chance last year but turned it down because of a dodgy deal.
