Default Fevola's gambling problems include poker!

Brendan Fevola of the Brisbane Lions admits gambling addiction

Apparently he managed to hit the Crown Poker room just 20 minutes after the final siren in one game.

Taking a bit of creative license there Doc.
Fevola raised eyebrows last May when he appeared in Crown's poker room minutes after showering from the Blues' narrow loss to Hawthorn at the MCG. Fevola had just hit the post from 20m out - an agonising miss that denied Carlton a famous victory.
I’d be staggered if he’d even have warmed down and been in the showers within 20 minutes of the siren, let alone in the Crown Poker room.
He had a lot to say. He had a lot of nothing to say.

Ah, my bad, I got minutes and 20 metres mixed up and somehow made that 20 minutes!!

    Thanks for setting me straight.

That article is pretty confusing when it starts talking about Andrew Demetriou and Voss.

I'm not impressed by a 250k debt, why is that such a big deal for a pro footballer?

Becasue as a recycled player he probably only earns between 500K and 650K so he is in it for half his salary for nothing to show for it, house fine, gambling not so fine.

but still I dont get it, when is it a problem and just plain being irresponsible for your own welfare...i guess the good thing for him is that he can not get into any casino in the country now...

Given most poker sites allow you to ban yourself that is not an issue and away we go...play footy instead of poker.

Thing that annoys me is most of his losses were on Horses, but a pic of him wearing pokerstars hat playing poker at crown accompanies the article...thats just not cricket

My first ever live 1k pot was against Fev back in late 05 early 06

He cold called a 3 bet with J8o flopped 2 pair so he got his money in good Flop J86 turn 2, River 2, i had AA he was lucky to see a flop as KK smooth called the 3 bet after Fev cold called.

He then stormed off in a huff
