I find that hard to believe, especially after how much money they spent to get the room running. The new room has only been operating for about six months and as a regular (on weekends), there are a lot of players at the tables.
ANZPT coming up....
APL also has contracts with Jupiters to utilise some of the space...
weekly tournaments getting popular
weekends are packing out....
Your source has been misinformed.
Hope your right as this source is pretty reliable..seems to think the Hierachy isnt impressed as the room isnt making as much as they hoped and after the ANZPT things could happen. They could use these dealers and Supervisors on the Main Floor or more importantly V.I.P room as they keep cutting back with staff. As it is the tournaments are cutting down to once a week..
Current problem with tournaments is that in Queensland an admin fee cannot be charged and all entry fees must go to players. This will slow down tournaments until the Government agrees to a change.
Apart from that the room is full most of the time for cash. Staff happy. Players happy. Even old derelicts and whingers like myself are happy.
Casino has done a great job for player comfort. I see no evidence of it closing.
Horses don't bet on people.
I was told the same thing last week.
A friend of mine is an ex dealer from Jupiters and she plays there 5 nights a week.
Pit Boss told her tables moving back upstairs after ANZPT.
There's always chinese whispers so I will remain a skeptic until I hear it from the horses mouth.
Thats sad as its too noisy on the Main gaming floor with all the bars and loud music to concentrate playing poker..Maybe the casino management can put us straight about this?
Room is not closing!
