Playing a friendly final table in the Thursday $100 tourney. There was a fair bit of chat as usual and I was quite short stacked with a very aggressive player on my right. Often times when it was folded to his SB I'd tell him that I didn't have enough chips to fold to hopefully get a walk. Is this legal?

And where could I find the rules for Crown or general poker about what is allowed to be said?

Plus, he can see your chips so all you've done is plant a seed in his mind. He has all the information he needs to decide if it's true.

That's fine. There are other ways of achieving this, namely stating 'all in' before he acts or just physically pushing your stack out when it is folded to him. Both are acceptable. In do-or-die tournament situations angle shooting or flirting with a penalty are both okay. You have nothing to lose.

Huh? Going all in out of turn isn't angle shooting, it's pretty much just a "f*ck you" to the rules of the game. Intentionally breaking the rules in order to gain an advantage is pretty low. Trash talk all you want, but if somebody tries that b.s. on me I'd expect them to be penalised.

My point is that in tournaments actions which can incur a penalty may be worthwhile. Jamie Gold would not have won the ME if he didn't flash cards, tell people what he had, etc. Poker is no different to sport in this regard.

It's fine to tell him you can't fold your BB because you are too short. Nothing even remotely angle-shooty about it. 100% fine.

It's NOT fine to deliberately act out of turn and as TD I would penalise you for doing so.

Your comments are a clear breach of the rules. They breach Robert's Rules of Poker, the breach the Crown Casino rules, and they would also breach the rules of major online poker sites. They are clearly against the rules.

The worst thing about this thread is not the question (which is a fair and reasonable question) but the large number of players who have provided blatantly wrong answers.

This sort of chat is clearly in breach of the rules.
