Default Joe Barton Introduces Online Poker Act Of 2011

Rep. Joe Barton Introduces Online Poker Act of 2011 | PokerNews

    Hmm.

"For at least the first two years, the only companies able to obtain a license will be large and experienced casinos, race tracks and card rooms located in the U.S. The field may be expanded by the Commerce Secretary after two years."

Otherwise it sounds good and about bloody time.

    Hell yes.
"Criminal penalties will be established for cheating and the use of bots, which would include a ban from play, fines and up to three years in prison."

”Regulating online gaming and making certain that these sites are operating legally in America will also create economic growth through generated tax revenue and the possibility of attracting foreign players to U.S. sites.”

As if the Australian Gov will let us give our tax's to the US.

Not sure, but getting the American players back online will be good for the poker economy in any case.
