Summer Series Main Event NOT guaranteed $1M??

Even thou the main event has been advertised as a minimum prize pool of $1,000,000 - the story tonight at THE STAR is that this is no longer the case.

I've read the T&C's on the web site and $1M does not get a mention.

Can anybody from Star please confirm this story is false?

If they pulled their fingers out and ran more sats and S&G's they would hit the total easily - but they never get on the microphone and drum up business and let players know what's running.

I may be way off, and havnt seen the read/seen the ads for a while...but my understanding was $1m for the whole series..

I've seen a banner ad on racenet.com.au where is states main event pool of $1M

If you don't get the ad first time - refresh the page until you see it.

T&Cs on the website say nothing about a guarantee and say:

"Should the number of entries total less than 500, the total value of the prize pool will be the buy- in multiplied by the number of players. In these circumstances, the cash component of the prize pool will be broken down and paid in accordance with the Cash Payout Breakdown."

So seems like no guarantee...
