Don't miss the most popular tournament night of the week this Thursday.The game is No Limit Holdem starting at 7.10pm and cost to enter $75. Enter early as it is difficult to forecast how many will play.And if you need another tournament fix, don't forget the $25 room opener at 2pm for $125 entries in the Melbourne Championship.Yes, the poker room now opens Thursdays at 2pm.

There is one change to the bonus points system this year. You are only eligible for bonus points if you play all nine rounds. Bonus points in this case remain unchanged at 3.Points for the top 10 placegetters remain unchanged.

Danny,Can you please confirm how many tables you will be opening, and whether you will have alternates?Assuming sufficient tables, i think you'll hit 110-120 this week.It should be a fantastic start to the series.

We are expecting to be able to seat a minimum of 100 players at commencement each Thursday with new staffing spreads coming into effect. With alternates 110-120 will not be a problem. If we can make 100 plus a norm on Thursday that will be great.Tables available for cash games prior to tournament start have also been increased and don't forget the 2pm room opening.

Danny,at the moment it is 10:26am thursday and from what i heard on the news dont go in the city unless you need to well i was wondering if the $25 sat will be on the go or not.CheersDaniel

Fiddla, if you don't know what 2pm means, look at your clock and it's when the big hand is on the 12 and the little hand is on the 2 and it's light outside. :-)

still on - I just travelled thru the city from the north at midday with no concern.
