What does it take to open a 'pokerroom'??

There's already a thread about this mate, it was started a while ago. It should answer most of your questions.The general consensus was don't bother, it's extremely expensive/difficult.I have a friend that's in the process of setting his up just outside London. It's relatively easy in the UK.If you are serious, go overseas.

OK guys - I'm a bit like Yoyo and Gaz about this noticeboard... I researched a lot of info last year (some of it out of date now) about the ins and outs of starting a poker site - however my backers fell through.I have a marketing idea that may or may not work in "difficult" to access countries like Australia - but no backers.If anyone is SERIOUSLY looking at starting a poker room - and has a REAL capital base then I would certainly be interested in talking to them about some sort deal to swap info/ideas for a financial interest in the operation.
