Yes , I believe your action out of turn stands if the player who was next to act checks and then it comes to your decision. If that player bets obviously you need to call the bet to continue....If you bet out of turn and the player who was meant to act then decides to bet your action now stands and if the player before has bet more than your bet you have two choices make up the difference or fold losing your out of turn amount bet(i dont believe you can raise here as your previous action out of turn fixes you to that amount you placed out of turn.)Blocker.

TDA Rule #30 states: "Verbal declarations in turn are binding. Action out of turn may be binding."Not much of a rule if it isn't precise.

On the flop, first time round it should be prettyhard to check out of turn and a player who does sois either paying poor attention (not knowing howmany runners are looking at the flop) orangle shooting, probably a free card play althoughsometimes to induce a bet from the earlierplayer that he can raise. If a player's observed to dothis it twice in a session he should be politely discouraged from out of turn checks.

If i am not mistaken the rule is as follows.During tournament play if a player bets out of turn that bet shall stand unless the player who is before him bets a greater amount. If the player in turn bets a greater amount then the out of turn player can recall his bet and retains all rights he previously had prior to betting out of turn.

Well TDA rules only apply to tournaments. It is my understanding that out of turn action in a cash game is NOT binding.
