Corporate Poker Tourney

Hey guys,Was just thinking of holding a Poker tourney for my work (a semi team building exercise PLUS an excuse to play some poker ;-) ). What I would like to know is the best way of going about it - ie. where to hold it/legality/costs, etc... Only going to have 20 - 30 ppl involved maybe a $15 - $20 buy in + a rebuy or two... I also run Fun Casino Nights if you wanted any variance over time.If you've never been to one of our tournaments, the invites there, please come along. Unless you can do it legally such as with one of these guys, for gods sakes don't hold it yourself. I don't think your boss would be too happy with you landing him in court for illegal gambling operations! If you do it yourself, it can't be for money...if the company wants to put up prizes such as a free day off, or gifts or something non financial you'll stay out of trouble...Be careful. Nothing hurts ones career like landing your boss in the slammer !Tam

HiI have been contacted by Rebecca for the same reason. Similar numbers, private business tourney, good chances is the for the same event.I already offered her my help to organize. I have been running tourneys in brissy for the past year and help yoyo and gaz to establish poker in qld (32 members of QPN when i started, now 560+). Blakroz I can recommend both Karla Symes and Daniel Sangermani (both have responded to this thread) - both are very good tourney hosts - Karla runs a very successful corporate fun poker night business and Daniel has run some of the largest poker tourneys ever in QLD successfully.have fun...yoyo

Thanks guys, I will certainly run this pass higher management (prolly not a good time though - one of our senior managers has just resigned due to health reasons...) but should get one up and running soon hopefully, have had a lot of interested parties at work...
