Due in part to the extraordinary and in some ways, unexpected, amount of interest the QPPA has generated, and also in part to unforseen difficulties in regards to our proposed venue, after much discussion, we have regretfully decided it would be imprudent for us to plow ahead with our proposed start date (Feb 26). We realise that many of you had planned and were looking forward to playing in the QPPA tournaments we had planned for this weekend, and for this, we apologise. However, we feel it would be best if we ensured that when we do commence, we do so in a more suitable venue. In addition, the postponement will allow us more time to fully explore the various legalities of what we are trying to achieve - that being a safe, secure and ethical cardroom where our members can play in well-run and enjoyable tournaments. We have a responsibility to ensure that we are not putting ourselves and our members in legal hot water by ensuring that we have dotted all our i's and crossed all our t's in regards to legalities. Once again, please accept our apologies and we hope to open soon in a comfortable, central venue. We would like to thank everyone that has shown interest and/or registered to play in our first events, and we hope the wait will be well worth it.Regretfully,yoyo
