D.O.G. Poker - Monday nights 7:30pm

For those of you in the Randwick area (of Sydney), the D.O.G. has asked me to run their Monday night NLHE poker tournies.It is a $10 buy-in with some extra added to the pool by the pub. There is going to be a final at the end of ten weeks with the pub sponsoring the entries of the leaders, and allowing a buy-in for the rest. It is similar to, but we think better than, your typical pub-style game.Last week had 22 players with 23 buy-ins (yes, there are rebuys) and a first prize in excess of $160! This first night they paid down to eighth (only about $8 though). Good value, I think you'll agree.Nice pub too, the week before last they had a special guest in Chuck Hahn doing a free beer-tasting and launch of a couple new beers, Hahn Pale Ale and Squires 'Rum Rebellion' Porter. The "powers that be" have decided to cease poker at the D.O.G. for the time being, in spite of increased patronage and that goes with it (more people at the pokies, going to the bistro, punting on the TAB, buying more beer, etc.). As such the tourny will no longer be run there, or by me, until further notice. In other words, don't turn up on Monday! BFB
