Jamie Gold in trouble.
Well not really, I'm not sure if many people know about this, but none the less read on.Jamie Gold vs Michael (Final table WSOP).Basically what happened was the community cards were as follows:9s Qc 4h Ad 8sBasically Michael checks to Jamie, Jamie bets a certain amount (couldn't hear it due to the commentary). Now Michael isn't sure if Jamie has 10 J and his pretty worried, he takes a long time to think, meanwhile Jamie is talking trash and saying such things as if you fold i'll show you both cards. While Michael is thinking on what to do, Jamie turns over the jack card (exposing it to Michael) and then quickly flips it back over. Unfortunatly Michael didn't see it 100% and wasn't too sure if he saw the Jack or not. In the end Michael folded, Jamie turns over a Jack and some random card (he had nothing). Mind you the commentary knew he was bluffing, and even I (who's an amateur) knew he was bluffing, he was doing it so often it wasn't funny, he was pushing them around too much. Now that's a 10minute penalty which A) Jamie did not recieveB) In my opinion the tournament director wasn't doing his job well because he didnt call for a penalty and let it slip. This is of course because he didn't see it, need less to say where was he?C) If i was Michael i would be pissed, because that influenced my decision and Jamie isn't allowed to do that. Now if i was Michael I would have told the tournament director, not because im a sook but because it influences my decision, and when you have 4 million in the pot, that type of crap is not needed. What are your thoughts and opinions?
