I primarily use FF and if it does work, it must take forever. So I tried IE and it works fine, and quickly.

was it true that the blinds went from 6000/12000 with 11 players remaining to 2000/4000 once the final table began? I know 2 players got knocked out at the same time and if this was the case and one of the tables wasn't notified of this blind change there is one unhappy chap in Carnegie at the moment. Can anyone verify this?

It sure is true that the blinds went back from 6K/12K to 3K/6K. I was one of those players involved in the last hand of the night. I was on big blind, had 39.5K in chips and knew that we were already down to 10 players. However, the reasoning behind me calling the all-in call and going all-in myself with my remaining chips was soley to do with 2 reasons, the major being the blinds and the other was just taking my money on the night and not having to worry coming back with only a few chips and really not being any threat, if I got lucky then it was worth coming back with a decent stack. Well it turned out that they didn't prepare enough money for position 10th and 9th so I had to come back anyway. Then they had also reduced the blinds to kill point 1. Then I find out I have tied with position 10th and split the money even though I had more chips than him. To top it off I get placed in 10th so I don't receive any PNW points. Very unprofessional in my view. One not happy Tim Balaban.

well, i spoke to Charles chua last night. His stack was 39K and he picked up K9o from teh button. All folded to him. Now, thinking that next level of blinds were going to be 10K/20K he pushed, only to be called by emad with Q8. Flopped 9 turn Q he is out. Now, had he just folded that hand (which he assures me that he would have given the short stack on the other table and reduced blinds at final table), he would have had a decent chance to at least move up the ladder. What do u guys think about the blind change?

Some points of clarification. As with tonights structure, our final $550 structure allowed for as follows:The duration of each level is 30 minutes. Levels for the final table may be wound back or the time increased and actual change will be announced prior to final table play. We have very limited areas for display of tournament information which is one thing i need to remedy prior to January. We sometimes make other minor changes to what is originally posted on PN a few weeks out from the tournament. Regarding the three eliminations at the one time on two tables, we followed standard procedure. The lowest chip stack of the two players eliminated on the same table gets the lowest place (11th). That leaves one player on each table and as per standard procedure, chip count does not come into it, they split 9th place.Tim, PN has listed your prizemoney as correct but you as 10th, however, you are effectively equal 9th and should split the points for 9th. I'll email Gaz.Finally Tim, I'm sorry you had to come back the next day to collect the funds - when I arranged for the withdrawal for minor placings i did not foresee the potential for final table eliminations.
