Just wondering if anyone from Melbourne will be heading north for the APA champs? Ill be up there over the weekend but will only be playing some sat's for the main.Also the 23rd of next month is my birthday so whoever wants to, ill be heading out on prob the friday night(24th) for drinks etc. Also not sure were to go as im from melbourne so if some NSW'ers could post so good nightspot/watering holes, That'd be grand.Summary: who's in for the APA champs? + beer.DanG

Without traffic, the APA is like 10 minutes drive from Darling Harbour. In traffic, probably no more than 20.Oh and Harley is half right about Coogee - but there are also a lot of English there (hot/not - you can decide). It is a very "Aussie" area though. Can't believe you've never been ant0s?! Get out of the west!

Harley I think that you have either never been to Sydney or that your taste is uber bogan.The Cross is JizzMonday night at the Scu Bar, central, drunk back packers everywhere.... easiest roots in town.Darling harbour is ok if your into that kinda thing ( Gelled hair and dance musicThe Universale on Norton St for some Hectic Wog Chicks, then down to Nortons on Norton to watch the guaranteed scuffle that will roll out onto the streets and involve the police.If all else fails you go to The Pine Inn on the corner of Burwood and Parramatta Rd and pick up the scraps!! P.S Dan tell me where and when, I'll be there. I want to see how much you look like this bird in real life :P

lol.Dan, you are welcome to come out with me and these stunningly hot girls i become friends with last weekend to celebrate ur birthday.. although they seem psycho (one tried to kill me , i may blog about it), it is worth it. Lets hope i still know them when u get here...Back up plan is of course to frequent the cross (specifically candies, clubb 77, world bar or bourbon if desperate) (which does not suck Harley) and possibly chinese laundry (better on saturdays) with my mates... this usually ends up in a party at mine or ur hotel hotel in this case. either way it is a guarranteed good night that i'm pretty certain was happening regardless of this thread.Also to defend Harley, although he may have had a bad experience in the cross, the Anandale (although a dive on 13/14 nights rocks when they have someone decent playing there. However the likelyhood of this is of course about 1/4 considering ur coming on a friday. i do generally avoid scu bar and darling harbour though.

Coogee has average aussie chicks but the best and easiest English girls in the city.. For a melbournian the coogee palace is like twister in St Kilda except the chicks are hot and above the age of consentPer square metre the best place to go to see hot chicks is the Eastern at Bondi Junction (however you have no chance of picking up)Upstairs at the beach Rd in Bondi is also pretty good but I am not sure on a weekend. However if you are here on a Wednesday I highly recommend it.For city location I really have no idea
