| My legal dramas ! | 2008 12 23 04:59 pm | So since we are posting funny emails / live-support chats lately, I figured I'd submit this one I just sent off to Parke Lawyers regarding one of the numerous people currently suing me. BACKGROUND - My office is below a carpark. All of the staff have reserved car-parking spaces which are written into our office lease, and we all have parking permits displayed on our car. About 9 months ago I was issued with a Warning Notice and thought nothing of it since it said WARNING. About 3 months ago I started getting letters from lawyers demanding payment of the outstanding amounts - since I only open mail 3 or 4 times a year (don't ask) I just received them today. The last one was very menacing and DEMANDED MY IMMEDIATE PAYMENT, and mentioned that a claim had already been filed in the NSW Local Court. So I was bored having busted from all my tournament, so what could be more fun than making fun of lawyers. Here's my latest email for your reading enjoyment. From: "Tim Horan" To: syd@pl.com.au ATTN: M-Dawg Hey bud, In light of our most amusing conversation of 20 minutes ago, I felt I should also email you the details pertaining to your correspondence concerning xxxxxxx I thought we were just starting to hit if off aswell ... Firstly, way to better society by sending threatening and intimidating letters to people who didn't pay their parking fines ! Holding true to those law school ideals is very noble. Maybe I should go to Law School aswell ?? Whaddya think ?? I just hope you aren't going soft on the real criminals ... the people with overdue video fees from BlockBuster !!! Anyway, I digress ... I read carefully through your list of demands, but now ya see, it's time for some of my own. Namely, I DEMAND a written letter of apology from your idiot clients clearly stating that I have not done anything wrong by parking in MY OWN PARKING SPOT with MY CARE PARK ISSUED pass clearly visible. I also DEMAND this letter to indicate that none of these ridiculous claims that have been made with the local Court of NSW ever appear on any record concerning me. I realllllllllly wanted to DEMAND more because it's fun, and who doesn't like asking for free stuff, but I guess that will do for now. Unless those $77 in legal fees buys World Peace ?? The reasons your moron clients are going to do this ASAP are: 1) It's MY PARKING SPACE PAID FOR BY MY EMPLOYER 2) I have a clearly visible CARE PARK PARKING PASS displayed on my car 3) The "infringment notice" is clearly stamped with "...THIS IS A WARNING ONLY..." which I had sighted and signed by a Justice of the Peace. Anyway champ, why don't you go have your receptionist give the nice folk down at CarePark a call this afternoon, tell them you strongly advise them to drop this un-winnable action against me, have them meet both of my demands, and then we can go back to our regular lives. For me that means grabbing a good bottle of wine and watching hilarious YouTube videos of great Ice-Hockey fights, For you it's probably brushing up on all that law stuff by watching repeats of the Practice ... or maybe LA Law ... man I used to love that show. Jimmy Smits and Corbin Bernsen, that was quality legal drama. I wonder if either are available for my case should you fail to adequately inform your clients of the repurcussions of not meeting my outlined demands. I'm pretty sure either of them could win this one. Anyway, I don't want to tie you up for too long, I'm sure you have lots of cases you actually have a chance of winning in Court, so I'll let you get back to them. Your friend, T-Dawg.
