ideas for a queensland road trip

I've got 3 days of holidays coming up and i wanted to go on a trip somewhere in Queensland. I live in brisbane and pretty much want to go north. Please post some good ideas itt.

Dont Bother with Hamilton Island, Its just a blob of sand in the middle of no where & your surrounded by abbo's who keep refering to you as "brudda"

Those coloured sand's at Rainbow beach are pretty cool as well as the Wreck of the 'Cherry Venture', Teewah Beach

You know what actually, I feel like a real dumbass right about now, I honestly was thinking of Fraser island instead of Hamilton

Hamilton island is actually very beautiful and I would reccomend to anyone, just dont trash a golf buggy cause they cost around 5K to replace.

Friend of mine works of Heyman Island (one over from Hamilton) its nice but not worth the price, went up there a few months ago. Magentic Island off townsville is decent but too far away. Everything north of noosa and south of Mackay sucks so thats out too imo

Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast if it's a roadtrip I guess unless you want to spend 2 of the 3 days in the car. I live on the sunshine coast if you have any Qs about where to stay/what to do feel free to PM

If you're driving, go the Sunshine Coast. If you're flying, go to Hamilton Island or Port Douglas. Haven't been to Airlie Beach, but heard nice things.
