Mate always on at those times, whats even more awesome is the 2500 plus runners they have.
Its dumb cos most people who read on here and are in the catchment will already have an FT account IMO, better if this was with one of the smaller networks.
Fair point D.I. but you could limit it to people who have been members for more then 6 months to stop this happening?I cant believe Pokernetwork wont just let any newb come in and bludge the $55k ... lol
Do you think they are a charity ? Where do you think the $55,000 comes from ? The Howard Lederer Foundation ?
Not that they will publish them (and nor should they BTW) but it would be interesting to see the uplift in downloads of FT through the links that the promotion brings in...
Hey guys,
Thanks for your feedback, and to answer a few of the questions...
The promotion is arranged by PokerNews so the timeslot is targeted towards European/US players. Our partnership with PokerNews allows us to also offer this promo to PokerNetwork players. We hope to have some more AU-focussed promos coming up with timeslots better suited to our players.
Entry to the events for this series is based on trackers where the user created the account. So it's not possible for players who have been with us for 6 months to simply grant access. Again we'll look to create future PNW-events that are password protected to allow all players to gain access. The risk with these is that the password is leaked and we lose exclusivity.
We do indeed try to find new promotions with new sites, which we have done in the past, however these rely on a lot of support and participation from players to survive.
There were only around 140 players in last week's event, so there was tremendous value. I think first prize was around $800 which is great for a small $5 buy-in event.
There were several Aussies in last week's first event which was great to see with some PokerNetworkers scoring some good points in the league. Tomorrow's event (Thursday) is a $1,000 No Limit Holdem Freeroll kicking off at 8am local time. We hope to see you there!

Event #3 - Tomorrow (Thursday) at 8am AEDST
It’s the $5.50 Knockout Event with $2,500 added to the prize pool. The tournament ID is 221084449. The last $5+$0.50 tournament only featured 133 players, which meant that the $2,500 added money was four times that contributed by the players – don’t miss out on another big overlay like this!
