    Default College Football

Am I the only one here that absolutely loves this shit?

I'm really liking the look of BYU -17.5 against Tulane this weekend. I watched the Tulane game against Tulsa and they were pretty bad, got the BYU game on tape and will look at it sometime this week (they did beat a Sam Bradford-less Oklahoma).

Anyways anyone else got any week 2 picks or college football related chatter?

I watched the BYU-Sooners game live, which was awesome.

In terms of tips, I have none. Back BYU I guess on the line (not my money), but their offence wasn't all that great. They have one amazing TE and that was about it

That must have been pretty freaking awesome. How low is the video screen at that new Cowboys stadium?

I think my pick this week is Oklahoma -15.5 against Tulsa.

2/2 betting College Football so far this season, but I somehow doubt I can be profitable over the length of the season. We'll see.

College football is pretty tough to make money from longterm as their are many more upsets, but the fact that there are soooooooo many games means you can be a bit selective.

I think Oklahoma -15.5 are probably a decent bet this week ... Tulsa are pretty awful.

Did you watch the OSU v USC game this week ??

Great atmosphere in the ground ... shame about the result

I'm a Badgers fan ... nailbiter against Fresno State, but the entire team was pretty sick in the lead-up.

I've heard good things about Wisonsin this year, but they have no seeding still. Might be good value for some upcoming games?

I don't know enough about college football to comment on betting prospects. Barely saw a game on TV this week, been too busy. But I've kept a close eye on the NFL and will comment on betting opps when they come up. One thing is that the Eagles defence was amazing against Panthers, but they lost McNabb in the process and RB looked average. Maybe a low-game-score bet for their next game?

Just looked at a few of the odds for tomorrow's College football games.

$1.85 on Boise State - 7.5 v Fresno State is pretty good value imo.

Boise know they will probably have to go through the season undefeated to have any shot at a National Bowl game given their schedule compared to the likes of Texas, Florida and Oklahoma, and they are already off to a 2-0 start after beating Oregon in the season opener (a big rivalry game for both teams) and then having a comfortable win last week against Miami of Ohio.

Their opposition in Fresno State put in a decent effort against a Wisconisn Badgers team who had up to 40 players still feeling the effects of a virus which swept through the team, but this is a tougher game.

Boise can't afford any losses this season, but especially not to unranked opposition like the Bulldogs.

$1.85 is actually pretty generous here.

Good analysis there Shades. Better than my [x] team is good and [y] team is bad. Yep I watch/tape any of the games on Foxtel each week, One HD is also showing a shitload of games as well from what i've heard.

I also stream the odd game of interest as well.

That Boise St line looks pretty good, i'm going to have a bite at that on top of the Sooners. Because of the sheer number of games I do try to restrict my picks to teams that i've seen play or teams that I have knowledge of.

A win over Fresno St is nothing to sneeze at given they are on the top teams in the WAC (home of the mighty Hawaii Warriors). :-D

Yeah, I mean Fresno State is decent and were actually one of the last teams to beat Boise State who are something like 52-2 in their last 4 seasons, but the fact that Boise have to go through the season undefeated just to have any chance of landing a BCS Bowl game I just think they have much more incentive to win.

Not to mention Fresno had a battling double OT away loss just 5 days ago and got pretty banged up by the Badgers.

Back home I expect Fresno to be better, but Boise are a classy team with speed to burn, and I think they will comfortably cover the line.

And on a related brag, a few years ago I hooked up with a cheerleader for Fresno State I could lie and say she was a perfect ten, but truth be told whilst she had a great body, she may have actually fallen from the top of the pyramid a few times and hit her face on the way down

5 mins til kick off ... let's go Boise State Broncos.

    Have -7.5 @ $1.85
    And -7.5 / under 53.5 points @ $3.50
