Yeah sydney I actually won on the day quite comfortably as it played out how i expected, melbourne on the other hand didnt as I expected alot of horses close to the lead or on the pace to win which didnt happen.

Usually my strategy changes but I had to go to a wifes friends place for a BBQ and had to put my bets on early, so ended up losing $300 for the day which is a good loss considering how it could have gone.

This is what I've marked for Caulfield. Note I avoid 2 year old races as a general rule (based on a dead track, which should dry out as the day progresses).

Race 1 No 3 Coppervue (also like No 8 Old Jock)

Race 3 No 1 Denman (don't bother backing it unless you have plenty in the roll)
Race 6 No 10 Avenue (don't like backing against my favourite horse Lucky Secret though)
Race 7 No 10 Typhoon Tracy (short odds though, No 8 Danzylum to place)
Race 8 No 5 Velocitea (if the track upgrades to good, No 8 Valentine Miss)
Race 9 No 13 Berringama (tough race, include No 15 Side Splitter and No 1 Miss Maren)
