2) Collusion

What are the penalties for the above??? Instant disqualification?

I have read through the thread and there is no mention of the above. Trust me if I was playing and the above were not enforced there would be no comp as it would be a walk in the park for me.

Cheers.
Not sure who the rulemaker is as such, but I guess as I set up the league and nickkaka started the ball rolling, we can probably nut these questions out.
1. From my perspective, teams must be entered and monies paid to nickkaka by the commencement of Round 1 via either Full Tilt or Pokerstars ($US50). You need to confirm in this thread that the monies have been shipped (identifying your Stars or FT user name in doing so) - I will then supply the League Code via PM. Anyone who has managed to obtain the League Code and entered but not shipped the money to Nick by 7:10pm AEDST on Thursday March 25, 2010 will be DQ'ed.
2. With respect to collusion, I think it would stand to reason that anyone who has managed to get caught out via act of collusion will be instantly disqualified.

On the question of what will happen if we don't get the 16 entries required to complete a league - not sure. If I recall, if that happens, then randoms get thrown in - I guess we can still continue the comp if that happens, but would probably need to redefine payout structures - I guess based off finishing positions at the end of the season.

Nick - thoughts? And can you also please confirm just who at this stage has paid up. At the moment there are 8 teams currently set up in the PNW League (not including yourself Nick); so there is room for more with 2 weeks to go until the league season commences.

As far as Collusion doubt there would be to much of this.

You are not trading players amongst each other like in other Fantasy Games.

One thing that does happen a lot though is teams that are not doing good later in the season stop checking there super coach teams so against them teams you pretty much have a bye.

I think there needs to be incentive for these guys to keep checking there teams so maybe $50-$100 to winner of the Mini Finals Series that happends with the bottom 8? At least anything that will keep them interested to keep checking there team.

Yeah i like that, make it like 100 bucks for bottom 8 GF winner then split the rest between the runner-up and winner

i have 2 mates from outside here who will enter teams (they both did in the one i organised last year) - but I have asked them to wait until next week as it is open to PNW'ers first. No issues with payments - they are my best mates from High School/Uni and since I'm escrowing I guess its up to me to get the money.

If we are really short of the numbers I encourage some of you to maybe do the same - as long as they pay obviously.

I like Matts idea - I am guilty of this from last year.

All entries in by Round 1 - Thursday night pre game (system will go into lockdown anyway for the duration of the round)

Its been good - every time i log into stars and ftp i see my balance always increasing for a change.....

Seriously Ill check all the transfer emails tonight and post here who has actually paid.

I will be in, I have just been waiting for you guys to finalise pay out etc.

I do not like the idea of $100 for 8th - if people become dissinterested it is tough titties IMO. Bye bye 50 - plus for the most part everyone will have the chance to benefit from lazy players.

I like pay outs for -

Premiers
Runners Up
Money back for losing prelim's

Keep it tight otherwise everyone will get a pay out !

No second teams either - this is the greatest collusion cause.

Can we finalise pay out so i can happily fork over my $50 ?

Perhaps Nickkaka can put something in stone (no adjustments)

Thank You

P.S. Andrew Lovett is a steal - put him in your team before his price rises!

I'll have a crack at this. As above please post the final payout.

Should be a bit of fun although I'm not as knowledgeable as all the Victorians no doubt!

I thought we had nutted out the payment structure actually; but if Nick is happy to go with Mat's suggestion (as Nick proposed the original structure), then it's okay with me.

Really don't mind if we go for original payout structure.

Just a suggestion as I know every year there's always a heap that stop checking teams.
