BJ, I know your a Pick the Margins (PTM) guy, but I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on Pick the Winners (PTW)
Obviously you would be picking less far combinations than on your PTM bets, but is there any value in getting a few people together to come up with 5-10 $50 PTW cards ??
I know this weeks PTW return was much larger than usual, but from memory it usually returns like $150-$300 dollars on a standard week for a $1 bet (which is $7500 - $15k for a $50 bet)
personally i think this is a dog of a product, it is just to hard to be profitable even the $256 spend theory sucks. Line bettng is an acquired taste at best but to be forced into picking 8 is painful. The pools are not deep enough to warrant the hassle the take out is criminal and the tab sets pretty solid lines, the only positives i can see is that they are now betting from earlier in the week so closer to kick off some of the lines will be skewed and the money will already be in the pool if you must bet this product do it while the 0% commision is going as it is your only chance to get close to fair bite of the cherry but i haven't taken one of these for a long time and i won't be in a rush to change. As for the theory of pooling money for these to have a bigger claim on the pool i personally don't think it is worth the expense or the risk for a pool so shallow.
Roy: Who would you rather be, Scott 'Punty' Smith or Harris 'P.I.M.P' Pavlou?
Puzz: Wow tough question...I believe they are both prophets of the Lord Gamblor
