Season kicked off yesterday with New Orleans opening with a hard fought victory against Brett Favre and the Vikings.

Should be another great year of NFL football coming up, and hopefully some money to be made.

Season predictions and opening game thoughts to follow.

Packers are going to be REAL good this year, and anything less than a trip to the SuperBowl will be a disappointment.

The over 9.5 wins prop for the regular season is as close to free money as the sportsbooks like to give out.

Yeh, If dallas choke at the back end of the season, its a pretty good chance Packers will take the NFC. As for the AFC it should be close between a couple of teams. Chargers, Patriots, Colts and Jets (if there OL and running game stand up again like last year)

As I see it Division winners should be like -

NFC
N - Packers
S - Saints
E - Cowboys
W - SF 49ers - Like their coach and Gore could carry the team to a couple of wins (Probably the easiest division dont think any of the teams will have a winning season)
AFC
N - Steelers or possibly Ravens (Dont like the Bengals with both OC and T.O, even though theres been a ton of hype about them)
S - Colts (Possibly Titans if Young has a good season to back up Johnson's running game
E - Patriots or Jets
W - Chargers

On a side note, Australian (ex-magpie) Chris Bryan is making his debut as punter for the Tampa Bay Bucs tomorrow morning. He won the position by default when the Bucs' only punter (an odd 6th round draft selection was cut after preseason, and Bryan was one of the very few semi-ok free agent punters available). Will be very interesting to watch as he wouldn't ever have made by top 10 for best NFL prospect coming from Australia. Will be watching that game to support the lad
