WTF SportingBet???

Ok so I opened a sportingbet account about 5 months ago cause I noticed there was many times when their line price on NFL games was actually a little better than Pinnacle, they were also much slower adjusting the lines when they moved on other sportsbooks. Over the past 5 months I have a profit of over $25K (including bets I placed for a friend, so not all mine).

Yesterday I go to place a bet on the NFL and sportingbet wouldnt accept it, saying my maximum wager allowed is $163, WTF kind of number is that? I couldn't work out what was happening so I emailed them, they replied asking I call the sports department, wow...I thought NETELLER customer service was bad back in the day.

Ali: So why cant I bet the amounts I was betting before

Ali: firstly you can train your phone operators on how to speak with their client base, and then maybe you can tell me why I cant bet the amounts I was able to previously.

Supervisor: We dont have to give you an explanation, its our decision.

Ali: wouldnt have anything to do with how much ive won would it?

Now in the process of withdrawing all the funds from SportingBet, what a joke they are allowed to do this shit. Im not bothered going through their T&C, but im assuming they can just restrict my account?

Oh, and because I couldnt get the bet I wanted I multi'd 4 games at the line @ 13-1 and binked it.

It sucks, but unfortunately they are welcome to decline your business.

Same as a casino could stop you from playing blackjack, or impose restrictions on the amount you can bet.

But obv their customer service sucks, and clearly if you had lost $25k you would be allowed to bet whatever you like.

Maybe your brother / dad / friend would like to open a sportingbet acct from a different ISP and place his bets over the phone rather than online ??

pretty much all bookies do this if you're a winner/professional sports bettor.
and if you're a loser, they let you keep betting whatever amount you want, as you suspected ali.

obv they are short sighted and value immediate profits over customer satisfaction/retention.

On a personal note, the company I work for (not sports betting or anything exciting like that) relish the fact we can tell people "fuck you - we decided who we want to do business with"

It does give me the greatest feeling and people trying to hustle for a ridiculous deal get owned!
