Last round of the regular season in the PLD coming up in the morning.

    Matches on tap:

    Wade vs Jenkins
    van Barneveld vs Webster
    Lewis vs Anderson
    Whitlock vs Taylor

    Sportingbet odds:

    Wade $1.65
    Jenkins $3.50
    Draw $5.00

    Barney $1.45
    Webster $4.50
    Draw $5.50

    Lewis $2.65
    Anderson $1.95
    Draw $5.00

    Whitlock $7.00
    Taylor $1.24
    Draw $7.00

Just unload on a Barney-Taylor double (around $1.80 on both Betfair and Sportingbet); or Barney straight out.

If you want to go the multi, Taylor and Barney are your locks. Lewis needs a point to lock out Whitlock from the semis, and his record lately against Anderson is good, so I think a result against Anderson represents value, especially with Anderson safely into the semis (draw or Lewis).

Dunno about Wade-Jenkins; Wade can't make the semis due to his poor leg difference - he could get discouraged, and he does tend to get discouraged fairly easily if things aren't going his way. I think the four leg multi is an avoid (though I probably will still have a dip at something, probably Wade-Barney-draw-Taylor, without huge confidence).

I think The Bull is huge value at tree fiddy given Wade is playing for nothing...

Barney is also very good value at 1.45

I'm shoving my Sportingbet monies on the Barney-Taylor double for sure.

Perhaps I should dip into multis without huge confidence more often...this multi scores at the $14.84 price...I guess the lack of Ali backing did the job!

And the Barney/Taylor double was money for jam.

Final standings for the 2011 PDL:

    Taylor 26 pts
    van Barneveld 18
    Anderson 17
    Lewis 14
    Wade 13
    Whitlock 11
    Jenkins 8
    Webster 5

The doubters were out after the World Championshipts, but Taylor shows once again that he is still far and away the best going around.

    Semi Final matchups:
    Taylor vs Lewis
    van Barneveld vs Anderson

    Sportingbet market ftw:
    Taylor $1.30
    Anderson $5.50
    Lewis $11.00
    van Barneveld $13.00

Betfair Semi Final markets (no draws):
    Taylor $1.17 Lewis $5.70
    Anderson $1.64 Barney $2.48

Barney has to be considered excellent value at the $2.48, hit it imo.

Barney good value, I'd be interested in seeing what odds are given that that match goes to the must win by two legs stage...

Given Barney has beaten Anderson in both matches during this Premier League season (8-4 just two weeks ago, and 8-5), the fact that he is the outsider in this semi final makes him even better value. On it...

Some awesome chokage by Taylor, and with Barney getting beat in the semi, the path was clear for Gary Anderson to win the PDL for 2011. Some good wins this season, with some bad losses. UK Open next on the agenda I believe.
