So you want 40% of any profit and you've only got around 400 tracked games on OPR (yes you have a very high profit % but lets see where you're at after 1000 shall we?)

I think the most you could realistically look at getting is 10% of profit but any backer is taking a lot of risk by out laying the whole buy in for you in 1 tourney.

You either need to put up half the buy in (min)and split any prize 50/50 after you pay back the stake or wait until you have more games behind you and see how you go on your own.

Don't think that because the field may be smaller (and I don't think it'll be much smaller as mid-stakes generally get the most runners) that you will have any better shot at a big score. There will be a bunch of HSMTT regs playing as well as it is in their regular buy in range.

All of this aside, you haven't said which SCOOP M you want to play.

    Good Luck

40/60 backers favour is a ~42% mark up fwiw.

But yeah prolly a 10% MU at best, since your abi is super low + games played.

When Turnriva mocks you for having too high markup you know you've done something VERY VERY WRONG

(if you dont understand, basically, turnriva sells at huge MU compared to most people, although to be fair, his stats warrant significant markup)

The short answer is to sell at high markup you need to have proven you're among the best of the best and you haven't done that so you're going to get laughed at selling action in a tournament you're probably a losing player in the field let alone at 42% markup (no offense intended but beating lowstakes mtts doesnt mean you could beat high stakes mtts, for example i'm 99.9th percentile on opr in the upper midstakes over a much larger sample than youve provided, yet the equivalent here is me selling action at a 42% markup to the 50k 8game at the WSOP or something, a tournament i'd probably have a negative expectation in).

Try selling action at face value or a very small markup (less than 10%) until you're a proven winner at the stakes you're trying to sell action for, otherwise people are going to laugh at you basically

How did you come up with this figure?

Also, people should be free to ask whatever odds they want without non-interested parties clamouring about how bad the odds are. It's a free market. Let people try to get the best deals they can.

FWIW everyone is overpriced. It wouldn't make much sense to sell shares lower than what they are worth and it's safe to assume everyone over-estimates their edge.

TurnRiva overprices himself (IMO etc.), and he gets away with it because investors trust him with their money. That's more important than stats TBH. For me anyway.

I'm not sure of the exact math between backers cut and mark up is. but generally to have the cut you expect to have, will be a little lower than the MU you charge.

and yes, everyone has the right to charge what MU they want. I guess I came in thinking it's a good time to put some other micro grinders in SCOOPs post DoJ especially, and just lolled at the mark up, guess I should have made a constructive response though, not a troll response.
