Day 6 of the 2008 Victorian Poker Championships saw Day 1, Flight 2 of Event #5: $550 No Limit Holdem $250,000 Guaranteed event. 187 players took to the felt including the likes of Alecks Lackovic, Tim Balaban, Tanya Hill, Andrew Demetriou, George Cotaidis, Andrew Meldrum and Trun Trang.
At the end of the day 39 players had survived, with West Australian Alex Lackovic finishing with the chip lead with 66,575.

The top ten chips counts from both Flight 1 & 2 are as follows:

Brendan Edmonds 119,350
Bao Hoang 102,625
Alecks Lackovic 66,575
Colin Peckover 65,900
Chris Hardy 61,275
Tuan Hoang 54,650
Scott Stagg 47,675
Jeremy Cleaver 47,500
Sam Higgs 47,325
Manny Rodrigues 47,275

With 80 players already through to Day 2 on Sunday, tomorrow offers the opportunity for the remaining 368 who have busted to rebuy back into the event on the repechage day tomorrow. With another big turnout we would expect the $250,000 guaranteed prize pool to be blown away!

It was a busy day for Lackovic as he was back on the felt at 6pm to lead the Western Australian team for the much hyped State of Origin Feature event! We’ll have full details of this event for you shortly.
