2009 WSOP Europe Schedule Announced

After two successful years the European leg of the World Series of Poker is back at the Casino at the Empire in London from September 17th through to October 1st 2009.

"The World Series of Poker Europe has quickly established itself as the most prestigious tournament outside the United States," said World Series of Poker Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack. With the staging of the WSOP Europe in the September / October poker break means that the European leg will be again taking place during the interval of the Las Vegas Main Event and “November Nine”.

Presented by Betfair Poker the WSOP Europe will again feature four officially sanctioned gold bracelet events as was the case last year. Kicking off with a €1,060 No Limit Hold’em event followed by the new addition of the €2,650 Pot Limit Hold’em/Pot Limit Omaha mixed event. Commencing prior to the Main Event will be the highly popular €5,250 Pot Limit Omaha event which will be followed by the big dance of the €10,350 World Championship No Limit Hold’em Main Event.

Pre-registration is open for players at any London Clubs International venue in the United Kingdom with players at this Summer‘s WSOP in Las Vegas being able to pre-register for WSOP Europe events at the tournament cage at the Rio Hotel and Casino. The Rio will also play host to satellites during the busy poker month of July with Betfair Poker also sending qualifiers over to London via a range of online satellites.
