The Adelaide Casino Poker Championships have returned to the Adelaide Casino Poker Zone for 2013 with five events on the schedule running from November 4th to 15th.
Last year Allan Rye captured the title over the 94-player field to take home the $37,430 first prize – and an even bigger first prize and prize pool will be expected with the buy-in increasing from $1,500 to $2,400 and will feature a repechage format. Players will have the option to re-enter either on the same day or on the second flight and will begin with a 30,000-chip starting bank and endure 30-minute blind levels with Day 2 increasing to 45-minutes.
The preliminary events leading up to the marquee Main Event include a $350 Teams Event (No Limit Hold’em / Pot Limit Omaha) to open the week before a $350 Terminator Re-Entry follows the next day. Wednesday sees the $560 ‘Craig Ivey’ Triple Chance where there is a $1,000 bounty on Craig Ivey along with naming rights of this event for the eventual winner. The final event on the schedule is a $1,100 No Limit Hold’em Freeze-out while an added $455 Poker Zone Challenge has been included on the schedule which will have an added Main Event entry on top of first.
