$17,000 Added Aussie Millions Satellite at MANSION

Posted at 09:00 2006-12-08 Looking for an excuse not to brave the hordes of shoppers on the last Saturday before Christmas? PokerNews and MANSION Poker have come to the rescue with a special Aussie Millions satellite scheduled for 10:30am AEDT on Saturday December 23. Similar to the last Aussie Millions Satellite hosted by PokerNews and MANSION Poker in October, this event has a $100+$4 buy-in, but will feature a better structure, with a starting stack of 5000 chips and longer levels as the tournament progresses. But while the tournament structure will be good, prizes are even better. For starters, a USD$12,000 Team PokerNews Aussie Millions package has been added to the prize pool and will be awarded to the winner of the tournament – this isn’t an event where you want to just make the money, this is the one where you want to really bring home the bacon (or the Christmas ham as it were). In addition to the $AUD10,500 buy-in for the main event, this package will also include exclusive Team PokerNews gear and an invite to a special Team PokerNews function. While everyone will no doubt be gunning for first place and the Team PokerNews Aussie Millions package, there can be only one winner. To help ease that pain if you don’t come first, MANSION Poker is adding $USD5,000 to the prize pool which will be paid out from second place onwards, so even if you don’t take home the big prize, a strong showing will still yield a very handy Christmas and New Years cash injection. Because we want to see as many PokerNews and PokerNetwork community members as possible in the Aussie Millions Main Event, we’ve put a password – which incidentally is millions4me – on this tournament keeping it nice and exclusive. Now add the fact that there will be no satellites to this event (direct buy-in only) and you’re looking at a small tournament field offering plenty of value and a great chance to win your way to the 2007 Aussie Millions. So go ahead and make your way to the MANSION and give yourself an early Christmas present.
