The 2013 Aussie Millions continues to go from strength to strength after Day 1b of the opening event saw the grand total of 338 buy-ins! This huge crowd of players takes the total number of entrants for the $1,100 No Limit Hold’em event to 661 and PokerNetwork would be extremely surprised if this event does not have a $1,000,000 prize pool to boast about.
Canada’s Robin Bergren is the man who finished Day 1b as the chip leader. Although his 202,700 chips were enough to finish at the top of the flights’ leader board, he ended the day in third place overall because Michael Guzzardi (252,600) and Ryan Smith (217,500) finished Day 1a with more chips.
Joining the aforementioned players into Day 2 are the likes of Tom “tollgate” Grigg (94,900); the winner of this event in 2012 Brendon Rubie (78,700); Mads Amot (55,000); the 2011 Aussie Millions Main Event winner David Gorr (43,100) and the United Kingdom’s Christopher Brammer (32,500).
Day 1c will already be in full swing by the time this article goes live on PokerNetwork so make sure you tune back in later to discover which players from the flight made it through to Day 2 and if the tournament manages to break the 1,000 entrants barrier!
