Aussie Millions & ANZPT Adelaide Satellites Commence At PokerStars

Posted at 20:26 2010-12-15

The last live event of the 2010 Asia-Pacific circuit may have only wrapped up on Sunday, but qualifying to the first events of the 2011 year are already in full swing. PokerStars are now running qualifiers for the Aussie Millions twice a week along with various satellites to the first event of the 2011 ANZPT season in Adelaide in February.

PokerStars are usually pretty low key with their Aussie Millions program due to the fact that they have qualifying for their own branded PCA event that also runs in January, along with ANZPT and APPT events sandwich around Australia’s premier poker event. However this year they will be running two $530 qualifiers a week (Wednesdays and Sundays) at Australian friendly times.

The Sunday satellites will be for $12,592 packages that include your buy-in to the Aussie Millions Poker Championship Main Event, along with accommodation and travel expenses. The Wednesday satellites are seat-only qualifiers, where winners will be given a seat into the Main Event and expected to make their own travel arrangements. Of course the advantage of the Wednesday satellites are that more seats can potentially be paid out with the same size prizepools and local players generally do not require the accommodation anyway.

Those people who can’t afford or would prefer not to pay the $530 straight up to enter the direct qualifiers can take a shot at the smaller sub-satellites that start from just $7.50 to enter. Players can even qualify for free using their FPPs to enter a range of sub-satellite options.

Already have your seat to the Aussie Millions? Why not have a crack at getting to the PCA or the season opener for the ANZPT in Adelaide. The ANZPT will return in February after a very successful second season. There will be a variety of satellite options every night of the week at 8pm AEDST. The Adelaide Main Event will be $2,400 to enter and run from February 2-6, 2011 at SkyCity Casino in Adelaide.

The live event satellites are just one reason to have a PokerStars account. Of course the other bonuses include some of the biggest tournaments online, a wide variety of games running at stakes to suit almost every budget and of course PokerNetwork’s exclusive freerolls and 100% up to $600 bonus for new members.

Simply download PokerStars through PokerNetwork and enter the PokerStars marketing code “STARS600” on sign up. This will get you in the game for exclusive qualifying options to various tournaments both online and worldwide, as well as bankroll boosting freerolls simply for being a PokerNetwork member!
