While the live players have been busy at the tables in recent times over in Perth and on the Gold Coast, the online army of poker players may have had a quiter week than usual but Sal 'ugritaly' Fazzino, Matt 'mjw006' Wakeman and Jay "SEABEAST" Kinkade ensured that several final tables were posted by local players.
Playing on PokerStars under his screename 'shaihulud', Jay "SEABEAST" Kinkade managed to weave his way through a tough field of 180 players in the $215 No Limit Hold'em event which was played in the turbo 2x chance format. The tournament had a $20,000 guarantee which was shattered to make for a $59,000 prizepool and when it was all over, only one player would best Kinkade as he finished in a solid 2nd place to receive $9,145.
With Kinkade also managing a 7th place finish in the $100K High Roller event over at PartyPoker, he continues to see his life-time tournament earnings rocket past the $2.5 Million mark.
While Matt 'mjw006' Wakeman would be licking his wounds after bowing out of the PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up in 16th place, he would be happy to take down a 1st place in a $54 turbo Knockout event on the same day to see $9,772 in prize money sent his way.
Sal 'ugritaly' Fazzino has had an impressive year at the online felt which has included seven 5-figure scores and a plethora of 4-figures scores to see his online tournament earnings surpass the elusive $1 Million mark. Fazzino was at it again this week as he would score $5,750 for a 1st place finish in the $265 Knockout event on PokerStars on Saturday and then manage a 3rd place in the same event on the Monday event which featured a larger prize pool and awarded Fazzino $8,589. Two big runs wouldn't be enough for Fazzino as he also finished in 6th in a $109 1R1A event for a further $6,362 score.
The PokerStars $109 No Limit Hold'em 2x chance event featured a $30,000 guarantee over the weekend and a massive field would see that amount crushed as a $123,000 prize pool was created. Liam 'moffo47' Moffett made his way through the giant field to make the final table and eventually finish in 5th and see $6,478 deposited into his account.
Ben 'bennybunny18' Richardson was making his name known over on Party Poker during the week after taking down their $109 buy-in event and seeing $5,562 added to his bankroll, while Dylan 'WhiteRabbito' Honeyman would be too good in a $109 No Limit Hold'em event on PokerStars during the week as a victory was worth $5,863.
Semesa 'semesa' Brown was also seen taking down a $109 event on PokerStars during the week, with a 1st place for him worth $5,842 to continue an impressive climb up the Australian online rankings in October.
