Following a successful launch at the Melbourne champs, issue 2 of Bluff Australasia is now available to poker fans in both Australia and New Zealand. “We were delighted to see the first edition reached not only the poker players who’ve been loyal to the sport for so long, but to the newcomers who’ve recently discovered poker via TV or through one of the many pub or club-based competitions,” publisher Alan Hyman said.
The new issue will feature a story on the ‘godfather of poker’, the legendary Doyle Brunson. In an exclusive interview, Bluff Australasia sits down with the two-time WSOP champion and author of the first poker ‘bible’ in Super System to talk all things poker.
There is also plenty of local content as well. In the lead up to the WSOP Main Event, Joe Hachem shares his thoughts on heading back to Las Vegas to defend his title and what he thinks it will take to win again. The issue also tracks some of the other Aussies travelling to the WSOP, from seasoned pros to first-time satellite winners, to see what their hopes and expectations are.
In what turned out to be a fortuitous move, Bluff Australasia also interviewed our newest WSOP bracelet winner Mark Vos, gathering an insight into one of the most feared online no-limit players.
There is also a full round-up of the recent Melbourne Championships at Crown, complete with reports, results and the updates to the PokerNetwork Player of the Year rankings. Also expect to find a round-up of the various free poker leagues popping up around the place, plus some new sections and columns in response to reader feedback.
Issue 2 of Bluff Australasia will be available at newsagents throughout Australia and New Zealand, RRP $6.95AUD.
