The tournament had started out as normal, with 242 taking to the felt at the Marival Resorts and Suites in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico, with 89 players remaining when play was suspended approximately 20 minutes into level 9.
According to PokerNews.com live reporting “… the entire tournament room was cleared, which included dealers, players, staff, and media. We were not given a clear answer on the exact time play will resume”.
The tournament featured PokerStars professionals Greg Raymer, Victor Ramdin and Humberto Brenes.
This is the second event of the LAPT. There has been speculation that the tournament may be finished online and there is a chance it may even be cancelled, but players and media have been asked to return tomorrow when it is hoped that tournament officials and local authorities will have resolved their issues.
