CardRunners Training: Mid-Stakes MTT Hand Reviews with Jason “GrindMentality” Mirza

Posted at 23:00 2014-11-29 by CardRunners

In this video CardRunners instructor Jason “GrindMentality” Mirza begins a new series reviewing hands played by a friend, Andrew Sweeney (a.k.a. “UlDuffer” and “LeDooof”), who is present with Mirza for his commentary. Mirza is a mid-stakes multi-tournament specialist, and here can be found applying his knowledge to hands from a €100 buy-in online tournament in which Sweeney ran deep.

They start out with a review of how Sweeney has set up his HUD (Heads Up Display), a topic Matthew Pitt recently addressed here on PokerNews. The pair then talk through hands Sweeney played in which decisions hinge in part on those stats the HUD is providing about Sweeney’s opponents, as well as on other situational factors like position, bet-sizing, board texture, and more.
