The countdown is nearly over as the start of the inaugural Lee Nelson Deep Stack Series is only a few days away! If you’re considering a trip across the Tasman it’s not too late to book your seat to what will be a hugely popular series. Satellites are well underway at the SKYCITY Auckland Poker Room and players are starting to arrive. There should be a good mix of locals and a few International visitors for this exciting series.
Throughout this week there is a fantastic range of satellites and preliminary events. Making sure that satellite events are within all of the players budgets, buy-ins for these events range from a low NZ$60 up to NZ$230.
The Lee Nelson Deep Stack Series Main Event will take place on Saturday 27 March at 12.00pm and with player numbers limited to 180, this tournament is sure to sell out!
There will be a minimum of ten levels played on Day 1, with the remaining players heading into Day 2 on Sunday 28 March at 2.00pm. The buy-in for the main event is set at NZ$1,100 with a guaranteed NZ$50,000 prize pool, which is expected to be blown away.
Well known to PokerNetworkers, Tony Dunst has confirmed his place in the Main Event and is looking forward to adding a New Zealand title to his poker CV.
“I'm stoked to be playing at SKYCITY Auckland Lee Nelson's Deep Stack Series. Lee is one of the best and most classy ambassadors poker has, and winning his inaugural tournament would be sweet as," says Dunst.
Seats are still available for the Lee Nelson Deep Stack Series, both in satellite events and in the Main Event. See www.skycity.co.nz/poker for more details including registration forms, tournament schedule and, terms and conditions.
