James “supanova99” Bills Claims Number One Ranking Spot

Once again it is all change at the top of the online tournament rankings in Australia as James “supanova99” Bills claimed the number one spot in the standings provided by PocketFives.com. Not only has Bills taken over from Tom “tollgate” Grigg at the top, he has actually opened up a 120 point lead over the new number two, Dylan “WhiteRabbito” Honeyman.
Part of the reason for Bills' rise up the tables is the fact Honeyman has removed all of his alias' from his PocketFives profile so he is no longer being tracked but do not let that take anything away from Bills as he has been in great form for a while now and thoroughly deserves his place at the top of the Australian rankings.
In the past week alone, Bills made it to the money places in 12 online tournaments, reaching three final tables and winning one tournament outright; the $82 buy-in No Limit Hold'em hyper-Turbo that is so popular with players on PokerStars. That result netted Bills $3,846.50 along with 129.32 precious leader board points.
As mentioned “WhiteRabbito” is currently ranked second – despite no longer residing in Austraia – and with him removing his information from his profile he will fall steadily from grace. This means that last week's number one and this week's number three, Tom “tollgate” Grigg will be Bills' main competitor although the likes of Michael “WaGe N W aRz” Fadersen, Matt “mjw006” Wakeman and Matt “brownie682” Brown will be giving him a run for his money also.
It will be interesting to see what effect, if any, the APPT Melbourne festival has on the rankings as we are positive the majority of the top 10, if not the top 100, will be playing in at least the main event. Tune in next week to find out who is the Australian number one.
