Although the working week began for many, it was just another day for poker players at the 2009 PokerNews Cup.
Only one event was scheduled for today with Event 3: $240 No Limit Holdem with $100 rebuys kicking off just after 7:00pm.
Some of the notables had started to arrive in town, and the 94 player field saw players such as Roy Vandersluis, Dennis Huntly, Sam Khouiss, Karib Karib, Andrew Demetriou, Michael Chrisanthopoulos, Emad Tahtouh, Gary Benson, Dean ‘dinhjo’ Nyberg, Andrew ‘Adgee’ Jeffreys and Michael ‘TheBigSiCkO’ Guzzardi all take to the felt with rebuys in hand.
And rebuy central it would be with a $57,600 prizepool created with only the top 10 getting paid with first walking home with three orange 5,000-denomination chips worth $15,000.
1st – Jim Ververis ($15,000)
