"Joe Hachem Deep Stack Series 3"
November 14, 2009

Just when you thought there were no more free days left in 2009, along comes Australia’s number one poker room to squeeze in yet another major poker championships into the Australian poker calendar. Thankfully, the series is one of the most popular with the third running of the Joe Hachem Deep Stack Series set to rock Melbourne’s Crown Casino from November 15th-23rd.

This series is always extremely popular as players will be spoilt rotten with a fantastic range of budget events and the luxury of deep starting stacks and generous levels to provide a world-class poker playing experience.

JHDSS 3 will kick off tomorrow with the $230 No Limit Holdem Event with 15k start bank, but if you’re thinking of playing this event then either pre-register online or get ready for an early morning to beat the crowds as the tournament will be capped at 500 runners. We wouldn’t be surprised to see it reach that number easily.

Budget No Limit Holdem players will love the options they have, with the $120 PokerPro Shootout expected to also sell out on Sunday, while the $125 No Limit Holdem Events will kick off at 12:10pm on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. 10k chip start bank will give players a true championship structure for a small buy in.

Those looking for something a little different won’t be disappointed. The talk of the town is the innovative $550 7-Game Mixed Event which will feature the games of HORSE as well as PLO and NLHE, to determine who is truly Australia’s superior all-around player.

Additionally, the JHDSS will feature a $230 Pot Limit Omaha Event, a $550 Heads-Up Event, the $340 No Limit Holdem Terminator Event and the popular $1,650 Joe Hachem Short-Handed Shootout.

Of course, the week will be topped off with the $550 Main Event which again features a repechage format to allow players who bust out on Day 1a or Day 1b to “rebuy” back into the tournament on Day 1c. The Main Event provides players with a very healthy 20,000 chip start bank and generous levels, which will provide a superb playing experience.

The Joe Hachem Deep Stack Series is your perfect warm-up to the Aussie Millions, so make sure you get down to the Crown this week to enjoy the deep-stacked poker experience! But if you can’t make it this time around, don’t worry, PokerNetwork will be hard at work on the tournament floor to bring you all the news and results from the third Joe Hachem Deep Stack Series!
