Posted at 22:02 2009-04-24

When scouring the Internet for our daily fix of poker news, we stumbled across an interesting interview with Joe Hachem on PokerTube. It’s a quality 30-minute interview that’s worth a listen, as Hachem covers many topics including some in depth analysis of some key hands from High Stakes Poker as well as discussing his upcoming travel schedule.

After a trip to the EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo, Hachem mentioned that he will be very busy working on his upcoming Poker Star reality TV show, however he revealed in the interview that he will also be making a special trip to Vegas for an exclusive tournament at the WSOP.

Hachem revealed that he will be participating in an invitation-only WSOP Tournament of Champions which will be held by Harrahs as part of their 40th anniversary celebrations. Hachem stated that the event will be held on the 30th May and will see all surviving WSOP World Champions come together in a made for TV feature event.

Hachem was clearly thrilled about the prospects of such a prestigious event, and will make a special trip over to Vegas just to participate.

“I’m sure they’ve invited all of the World Champions, well whoever is surviving, and I can’t see why you wouldn’t want to come!” said Hachem. “Historically it’s such an amazing event to be a part of. I’m so excited about it!”

This incredible WSOP Legends Event is set to feature old-schoolers such as Amarillo Slim, Bobby Baldwin, Tom McEvoy, Berry Johnston, Johnny Chan, Dan Harrington, Doyle Brunson and Phil Hellmuth, mixing it up with modern day champions such as Scotty Nguyen, Chris Ferguson, Chris Moneymaker, Jamie Gold, Jerry Yang and the 2008 WSOP champion Peter Eastgate.

Who will be the champion of champions?
