Lee Nelson Deep Stack Series Set For SKYCITY Auckland

Auckland’s SKYCITY Casino have announced an exciting new fixture to its already popular poker calendar. With the Joe Hachem Deep Stack Series proving so popular at Melbourne’s Crown Casino, Auckland have followed suit with the inaugural Lee Nelson Deep Stack Series. The budget deep-stacked series will be held from 22^nd – 28^th March 2010 at SKYCITY Poker which is located on Level 3 of SKYCITY Casino in Auckland.

The series, named after New Zealand’s most famous poker player, Lee ‘Final Table’ Nelson, will host a variety of events including Single Table Mega Satellites, No Limit Texas Hold’em events, a Pot Limit Omaha event, 6-handed No Limit Texas Hold’em and the Main Event - the Lee Nelson Deepstack.

Player numbers are limited to 180 with a minimum of ten levels played on Day 1, with the remaining players heading into Day 2. The buy-in for the Main Event is NZ$1,100.00 with a guaranteed NZ$50,000.00 prize pool.

Satellites will run regularly throughout the week, kicking off March 22^nd with buy-ins as small as NZ$60.00 up to NZ$230.00.

Players to keep an eye on during the Lee Nelson Deep Stack Series are SKYCITY Poker Ambassador Brooke Howard-Smith and of course Lee ‘Final Table’ Nelson.
