Matt "mjw006" Wakeman Still Ranked Number One In Australia

An Aussie on a mission for the last few weeks has been mjw006. However, despite remaining the number one player in Australia this week he had a slow week like much of his colleagues on the felt. There were some big scores this week with WaGe N WaRz, supanova99 and semesa doing Australia proud on the virtual felt by taking down some massive payouts.
The number one player in Australia is still Matt "mjw006" Wakeman. However, the New South Wales player is coming off one of his least inspiring weeks in some time. He had 11 cashes but shockingly for a man in his current form he didn’t manage one four figure score this week.
Michael "WaGe N WaRz" Federsen had a massive score last week as he finished 4th in The Sunday $109 Rebuy of PokerStars, this week he absolutely remarkably managed to make the final table of the tournament again this time taking fifth place for $14,694. Then yesterday one of the most consistent performers in Australia entered the $530 Sunday 500 and took ninth spot for $4,678 to wrap up another good week.
Last week supanova99 scooped up some nice results and this week was no different as he moved up to the elite three in the rankings. He got off to a nice start on PartyPoker taking fourth in their $100 tournament for $2,647. The same site was the scene of another good result in the $90 tournament for $2,475. The undoubted highlight was a monster $19,321 payday for winning The Big $162 on PokerStars. That result made it two five figure-scores in just two weeks.
Outside the top three, it was a quiet week but there were a few other notable exploits. Three trophies is what semesa won last week and the cash that went with the honour. All three came on PokerStars and he kicked it off $5,900 for winning The Hot $16.50 Turbo. The next victory was worth $7,761 and was awarded for winning The $109 No Limit Hold’em Turbo Double Chance. He wrapped a week to remember with a win in the $27 Turbo Knockout event for $1,910. In 10th place in the rankings this week bazooka87 and he managed a nice win in the $25 No Limit Hold’em HyperTurbo on PokerStars for $3,672.
