The final table of the PokerStars Macau Poker Cup Championship Main Event has been set after the 45 players who returned to their seats inside the Grand Waldo Entertainment Complex for Day 3 of this fabulous tournament, were reduced to just nine over the course of five quick-fire levels.
The final table will commence on Sunday at 13:00 local time and will continue until a champion has been crowned; that player will walk away with the title of MPCC Champion and HK$1,108,500 in prize money. The man who is in pole position come the start of the grand finale is Rui Chen, who was cruising along nicely until a hand went down that was ultimately the last of Day 3,
The hand in question saw a three-way all-in, Xing Zhao and Satrya Teja both being covered by Chen.
By the river the board read and with that Teja (11th) and Zhao (10th) bth busted out and the final table had been decided.
Among the final nine are two Australian players in the shape of Ryan Hong and the short-stacked Robert Streatfeild and there are also two female players still in with a shout of glory, those of the fairer sex being Jessica Ngu and Lisi Wei.
It really is anyone's game in this event and it should be a joy to watch and play in. Tune in tomorrow to discover who becomes the 2012 MPCC Main Event champion.
