Returning for it's third straight season, the Party Poker Premier League is about to start production in London next Monday. Renowned for having the worlds top players; this invitation only event will pit 12 of the best players in the world against each other as they compete for a record breaking $1.25 Million in prize money.
PartyPoker.com Premier League III sees the buy-in elevated to $75,000 and the added money raised to $350,000, for a combined total prize pool of $1.25 million. The next event wasn't due to take place until 2009 but the demands of international broadcasters for coverage of the event has brought it forward to 2008! The series developed by Matchroom Sport, features 12 of the world's best players playing in a unique league format. All 12 players will play six times in the preliminary stages. The leading four players will then progress to the final table with the next four battling it out in heads-up matches for the final two seats.

Rounding out the field is two names that both hold poker records. Once is synonymous with high stakes cash game play, and the other is none other than the new World Champion. Tom 'Durrrr' Dwan and Peter Eastgate join the lineup that now promises to be the most exciting Premier League to date.
With his addition to the Premier League line up, Eastgate had this to say:
"This is my first event since the WSOP Main Event final table so I am delighted to be part of a world class line-up. I am the man in form and want to show people why I am the World Champion."
With his win at this years Main Event, Eastgate became the youngest player to ever win the event, taking the long standing record away from Phil Helmuth who has held the title for almost 20 years.
Holding the record for the biggest pot in online history, Tom 'Durrr' Dwan is one of Poker’s hottest talents and one of the circuit's most respected players with estimated online winnings in 2008 believed to exceed $6 million.
On 26th October 2008, during a session of $500/1000 No-Limit Hold'em, Dwan played the biggest pot to date in online poker, $723,938, losing with KK versus Urindanger's AA.
