Tournament poker is one of the most exciting formats the game has to offer and thanks to the Pokerfest III online festival, it could be one of the most profitable forms.
Running from April 21 through to May 5, the third instalment of Pokerfest will feature 64 events and will guarantee $4,000,000 in prizes! This makes Pokerfest III the biggest and richest edition of this amazing online poker series.
Once Pokerfest III kicks off there will be four tournaments per day. One will have a points buy-in and there will also be a low, medium and high buy-in tournament so that all players are catered for.
The opening event is a $215 buy-in $350,000 guaranteed that begins on April 21 at 19:30 CET. Thirty minutes later there is a $2,500 guaranteed tournament that costs just 20 PartyPoints to enter, which is essentially a freeroll when you consider how easy it is to earn PartyPoints.
Some of the highlights of Pokerfest III include an $80,000 guaranteed $54 rebuy, a $10,000 guaranteed $11 NLH Bounty, a $450,000 guaranteed High Roller that costs $1,060 to enter and the grand finale, a $1,500,000 guaranteed Pokerfest III Main Event.
There are satellites running now for the various Pokerfest events, with freerolls and special offers feeding into the Main Event. Be sure to check out the dedicated Pokerfest III pages at PartyPoker for full details.
The self proclaimed "Poker Brat," Phil Hellmuth, is not only known for his 13 World Series of Poker bracelets, but also for the fact he loves to make a grand entrance to major live poker tournaments. In the past he has arrived at events in full NASCAR gear, sauntered into the poker room dressed as a Roman emperor and his latest get us was, well watch it yourself!
What do you think Hellmuth should arrive in next? Is it all a bit of harmless fun, or are Hellmuth's entrances getting over the top and unnecessary? Let us know in the comments box.
FastForward Poker, PartyPoker's offering to the "fast-fold" world, allows players to play hundreds of hands per hour thanks to them being seated in a pool of players rather than at one fixed table. Instead of having to wait for a new hand to be dealt, players can click the "Forward Fold" button and be whisked from their seats to a new table with new cards and players.
This eliminates the need to wait for premium holdings, which makes the game much more exciting. Being able to play more hands per hour potentially increases your hourly win rate, and thanks to a new promotion focused around FastForward Poker, your hourly rate could be boosted even further.
The FastForward Challenge could see you awarded a poker bonus of between $5 and $100 just for sitting down and playing FastForward poker. Earn just a single point on four days across the week and a $5 poker bonus will find its way to your account. Earn one point every day for seven days, and this bonus increases to $10.
The maximum bonus this promotion yields is $100, awarded to anyone who earns 100 points per day for seven consecutive days. Points are awarded per $1 paid in rake. What's more, FastForward Poker plays so fast that you will be plowing through hands in such a rapid fashion that the points will just rack up.
