Play For A Cure - Celebrity Charity Poker Tournament

Join Joe Hachem and help cure Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at the “Play For A Cure” Celebrity Charity Poker Tournament hosted by the Australian Poker League, which will be held at the Revesby Workers Club on April 17th 2010.

The Main Event will offer a major prize of a World Series of Poker package including airfares and accommodation! Entry is just $175 with registration open from 12pm. Cards will be in the air at 2pm with the field to be restricted to 700 participants. The top 16 players will win a prize with more details available at www.saveoursons.org.au.

Additionally there will be a Ladies Only Tournament kicking off at 6:30pm. Entry is just $50 and the winner will win $2,500 Westfield Shopping Voucher with the top 8 players winning a prize.

Finally the Celebrity Challenge will start at 6:30pm with well known celebs battling it out on the felt. Each celebrity will be sponsored with the winner’s sponsor to receive a $5,000 cheque to donate to the charity of their choice. There will be a number of celebrities attending, highlighted by the appearance of 2005 World Series of Poker Champion Joe Hachem. There will also be plenty of great entertainment, including Australian Idol’s Stan Walker, raffles, prizes, silent and live auctions and plenty more!
