The Poker Zone at the SKYCITY Casino Adelaide has been the hub of some superb poker action this week as the 2013 Poker Zone Cup burst into action. In preparation for Thursday’s Main Event, a number of side events have been run, the results of which can be found below.
Poker Zone Cup Series Event #1: Teams Event
The first event of the series was the popular format of playing No Limit Hold’em in a Teams format. By the time registration had closed there were 51 teams who had bought in for $230 each, creating a prize pool of $10,200.
The eventual champions were Clinton Dodd and Michelle McShane who managed to accumulate a grand total of 120 points to clinch the title and the $3,880 first place prize. McShane and Dodd beat Craig Ivey and Cathy Ivey to the win, but the Ivey’s have once again shown they are a force to be reckoned with as this result is hot on the heels of their outright victory in the Aussie Millions team game.
