PokerNetwork League Starts Sunday June 3!

Posted at 07:00 2007-05-28 We are pleased to announce the return of the PokerNetwork League, which will kick off with a $20+$2 No Limit Holdem tournament at PokerStars on Sunday June 3 at 20:00 AEST. The PokerNetwork League will run over ten weeks, with tournaments on Sunday and Wednesday nights both starting at 20:00 AEST. All tournaments are $20+$2 to enter, and will be hosted exclusively at PokerStars, with a variety of games including Holdem, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven Card Stud, Razz and H.O.R.S.E.. Each tournament will award points toward the leaderboard, and after the last league tournament on August 8, the top nine players on the leaderboard will face off in the final. The winner of the PokerNetwork League will receive a prize package to the inaugural PokerNews Cup which will take place at Crown Casino from October 21-29. The package includes entry into the PokerNews Cup Main Event (valued at AUD$3000), six nights accommodation at the Crown Promenade Hotel and a further $500 cash for travel and expenses (to be credited to your PokerStars account). The winner will also get to be part of Team PokerNews and be invited to exclusive functions and events. Those who finish 2nd-9th in the PokerNetwork League final won’t go away empty handed either, receiving entry into the opening event in the PokerNews Cup, valued at AUD$175. All buyins will be returned to the prizepool, the prizes for the final have been added by PokerNetwork and PokerStars.
