PokerNetwork League Starts Sunday

Posted at 07:00 2006-10-04 Due to popular demand, PokerNetwork has launched a special league for all PokerNetwork players. The PokerNetwork League will hold its first tournament on Sunday October 8th at 7:00pm at TonyGPoker. The league will run tournaments on both Sunday and Wednesday nights over the next 11 weeks, with players able to earn points in every event they play. The top nine points leaders at the end of the season will face off for an Aussie Millions package and other prizes.

All tournaments will be played at TonyGPoker, with a start time of 7pm. Buyins will be $20+$2, except for the three rebuy events which will be $10+$1. The rotation will feature mainly Holdem (No-Limit, Pot-Limit and Limit), mixed in with Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, 7 Card Stud, Razz, 2-7 Triple Draw and a couple of Dealer's Choice tourneys as well. The freezout events have a 2000 start bank and the rebuy events have a 1500 start bank. Each tournament requires the password "millions4me" to enter.

Eager players can add extra chips to their start bank by playing ring games at TonyGPoker. If you play 200 raked hands in the 7 days prior to any PokerNetwork League tournament, you will receive 1000 extra chips (50% start bank) for freezeout events, and 1500 extra chips (100% start bank) for rebuy tournaments.

Once you register for a tournament, the software will continually check your raked hand count in the time leading up to the event, and will automatically add your extra chips shortly after you have reached 200 raked hands. You will have up until 6pm before the tournament to fulfil the raked hand requirement. Also note, that raked hands carry over to any tournament in the next seven days, eg. if you play 200 raked hands on Tuesday you will automatically receive extra chips for the tournaments on both Wednesday and Sunday.

All buyins from each tournament will be returned to the prizepool, the Aussie Millions Package and any other prizes for the final will be added in by PokerNetwork and TonyGPoker. The Aussie Millions package consists of entry to the 2007 Aussie Millions Main Event, ten nights accommodation at the Crown Promenade hotel, and USD$500 into your TonyGPoker account for travel and expenses. Each of the nine players in the final will be guaranteed a prize.

You can find the points structure, full schedule and keep up to date by looking up PokerNetwork League under the Clubs section of PokerNetwork or (http://www.pokernetwork.com/club9.cfm).

So who will be the PokerNetwork champion? Good luck!
